Local efforts are underway to update the City of Middletown's Plan of Conservation & Development (POCD), which will serve as a guide for future growth and development in Middletown. The POCD will be based on our community's vision to set the goals, values, and strategies that will serve as the framework for future decision-making. Residents, community members, stakeholders, businesses, organizations, and visitors are encouraged to participate and share their opinions on this initiative.
The process will be overseen by staff and a Steering Committee made up of community members, the Planning and Zoning Commission, East-Hartford based consultant CME Associates, Inc. and The Connecticut Economic Resource Center, Inc. (CERC).
We Want Your Input!
The City of Middletown is in the beginning stages of updating its Plan of Conservation & Development (POCD). As part of that process, the City is seeking input about a wide variety of subjects to better understand how the people of Middletown feel about topics such as Open Space Preservation, Economic Development, Affordable Housing, and the Riverfront.
Please consider participating during our interactive public workshops, discussions, and surveys and be part of shaping Middletown's next decade.
Materials prepared for the Middletown POCD planning initiatives will be regularly added as the project progresses.
