Brush Pick up and Recycling

Brush

Brush is not considered bulky waste and will be picked up free of charge.  It is always suspended from mid-October to March due to leaf collection and snow plowing.   During the winter,  if there is a storm, public works crews will circulate through the City to pick up storm branches placed at the curb.

In the Sanitation District brush must be cut to 3 foot lengths and tied with string. Brush collection does continue in the Sanitation District through leaf season and the winter because different trucks are used for collection.

Brush can always be brought to the Recycling Center (PDF) by residents at no charge.  If brush is brought in by a contractor, they will be assessed a $25/load charge.

Brush is chipped up and offered to residents at no charge.   Residents can pick up wood chips from the Recycling Center or have large dump truck loads delivered at no charge after the proper paperwork is filed and approved. A waiver form (PDF)  must be signed and notarized prior to delivery.   If woodchips are picked up at the Recycling Center, residents can load directly into their truck or bring barrels or bags.   No loading assistance is given.
