Middletown Warming Center Is Now Open

In partnership with town officials, service providers, and local religious organizations, Columbus House operates seasonal warming centers in Middletown. Columbus House employees staff the centers which open in the evening and accept walk-ins throughout the night. Those seeking refuge from the cold are offered a welcoming, safe space to get warm along with some snacks and hot beverages. Beds are not provided.

The scheduled hours of operation will be from 9 PM until 7 AM. These hours may change due to the weather, Middletown Russell Library’s schedule, or the activation of the Severe Cold Weather Protocol.  The Warming Center will serve homeless adults with no children.

The Warming Center will operate at the following locations:

Monday, December 9, through Monday, February 3, 2020: Church of Holy Trinity, 381 Main St., Middletown

Monday, February 3, through Monday, April 6, 2020: South Congregation Church, 9 Pleasant St., Middletown
